Cathy Dennis connection

Another crazy Cathy Dennis connection--just got the new Sophie Ellis-Bextor (the real new one, not just new to me). Cathy Dennis wrote the first single, Catch You which is the only song Sophie has ever included on a solo album she didn't at least co-write. Add it to the list.

Which one is your fav Cathy tune?

1. Toxic
2. Can't Get You Out of My Head
3. C'Mon and Get My Love
4. Touch Me (All Night Long) (technically didn't write, but sang)
5. Come into my world
6. Never Had a Dream Come True

I find it a real toss-up between Toxic and C'Mon and Get My Love--with the edge to Toxic.

More summer concert news--including Summerfest

This Saturday, tickets go on sale to see a double bill of Amy Winehouse and Paolo Nutini. They are going to be both in Twin Cities and Chicago over a weekend in September. I definitely want to get tickets. If anyone is interested, let me know by tomorrow and I'll consider where people want to go for where I'll travel for the show.

Summerfest, Summerfest--not much that I want to see. Breeze--if you are indeed going on Monday, July 2nd I would go that day too and then possibly stay for Ne-Yo. I saw him last year and he's better to hear than look at--but it could be fun. Otherwise, I'm game to go other days if anyone sees something they want to go to--if not, I'll probably save up my concert going for Lolla.
