Lollapalooza

The Lollapalooza schedule has finally come out with one-day festival passes available. It sounds like there's a limited amount, so if you are interested you might want to get on that.

Looking at the schedule, I think these are my tentative schedules:

Friday
11:45-12:30 The Fratellis
1:30-2:30 Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
4:30-5:30 MIA
5:00-6:00 either Silversun Pickups or The Rapture
6:30-7:30 The Black Keys
7:30-8:30 LCD Soundsystem or Femi Kuti

Saturday:
11:45-12:30: I'm from Barcelona (on the new mix I'm working on)
12:45-1:30: Tokyo Police Club
1:30-2:30: either Pete Yorn or Tapes 'n Tapes
2:15-3:00: either Sam Roberts Band or Aqueduct (both on the new mix)
3:30-4:30: Cold War Kids
4:30-5:30: either Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah or The Roots
5:30-6:30-here's the tough one--Regina Spektor or Hold Steady
6:30-7:30 Yeah Yeah Yeah
7:30-8:30 Spoon
8:30-10:00 Interpol (if Matt comes)

Sunday looks like:

12:15-1:15-The View (on the new mix)
2:15-3:15 Amy Winehouse (if she shows)
3:15-4:15 Paolo Nutini
4:15-5:15 Kings of Leon
5:00-6:00 Peter, Bjorn and John
6:15-7:15 Modest Mouse
7:15-8:00 TV on the Radio

Here's a link to the full schedule http://lollapalooza.com/schedule2007/day1.asp and a link to the tickets. Looks like a day pass is $80. http://lollapalooza.frontgatetickets.com

It'd be cool if you could come with me!

What do you have against Modest Mouse? The Dashboard video is hilarious and they rocked on Letterman.

I gotta admit. Lollapalooza is looking a lot better than Summerfest. Though I do need to see Social Distortion on Monday night. There's at least two bands per day I want to see at L-palooza. I'll see if I can talk Sarah into getting a 3-day pass.
If you guys need a place to crash while you're in Chi-town I should be able to fit 2-4 people in my place depending on how close you want to be to each other.

That would be awesome if you and Sarah could go to the fest too. There are so many great bands--and I am happy to make you a copy of some of the stuff from the folks on my list.

In terms of our lodging, my plan was to stay somewhere on the train line and then just commute down. I randomly made a reservation somewhere, but I think it is nowhere near where I'm supposed to be.

I definitely appreciate your offer and may just take you up on it.
