Definitely watch--it is hilarious!
I haven't caught SYTYCD but I did set TiVo to start picking it up, so it should start showing up.
When we were in NYC visiting Holly a couple weeks ago, we went to the Museum of TV and Radio. You can go through archives of old shows and watch them.
I found an Entertainment Tonight-style local show that had Solid Gold dance auditions for 1980. It was too much fun. The inital rounds are all these serious dances with clubbers trying to keep up. I love that.
You would think that fewer people would actually think they can dance, than sing like on AI (heck, even I sound good singing to Mariah with the sound turned WAY up). That makes SYTYCD even better in some ways.
