Concert mania

So Common concert was last night and he is perfection. He is even finer in person than in videos or pictures. He's a true hip-hopper--B-Boy, freestyler with a wicked DJ. He did all the songs--even Love of My Life, which was ridiculous. He did it as a homage to other hip-hop songs over the song's beat.

He did mention Erykah Badu when he set up Testify--saying that it wasn't about her. Lots of Erykah references though.

Having seen him and D'Angelo--I think Common may be a notch hotter.

Then--the George Michael concert announcement! How exciting is that, but how sad that the tickets went on sale Sunday and we just found out. Now we are looking at scraps. Only good thing is that the plane tickets look reasonable. Not sure what to do about tickets though...

The one great thing about going to concerts and having cell phones now, we don't need to sit next to each other to have a great time. I'm going to program 'Oh My God' into my phone and I'll repeatedly send that to my sisters all throughout the concert. What sucks is that I thought I was on the George Michael email list and I didn't get the tour sale notice, I'm going to have to crush some skulls. Don't get me wrong I love everyone, I've just been waiting for this day for a very long time.

As for Common...let me start my saying 'Oh My God!' How jealous am I that my sisters got to see him and I didn't. He is so beautiful, most definitely hotter than D'Angelo is. Even with his ridiculously muscular body. His voice is so gorgeous and all he wants to do is make the world a more funktified place. I just made that word up...I'm the coolest.

Well, I need to continue my low-rent apartment search. I'm trying to get on all of these waiting lists for affordable living apartments in the city. I'm amazed on how cheap you can find rent if you don't make any money. And in a few weeks I won't be making any, so I qualify.

That's true about the concerts and I'm usually so into my groove, I don't do much talking anyway. Last night we didn't really get to stand by each other (Jodi went with too--didn't know him, but now loves him of course).

I paid my $40 for the GM fan club and didn't get anything either. Prince emails before the tickets go on-sale and let's you buy them. George...

Good luck on the home hunting.

So...George has so far lost our Pilch girl money. We decided not to go to Dublin to check out the 25Tour. He best get his butt to the States---or put more tickets up in London.

On to Prince. I also need to order our Mary J. tickets and today I saw that Michael McDonald is coming to Summerfest--with Steely Dan! Can you believe that crap? Hey Nineteen! Creepiest song ever---Lou you out there to defend?!

I hate to say it, but George doesn't deserve our money if his stupid fan club won't let his American fans know when international tour dates have been set.

I'm just going to give my money to more deserving bands such as Broken Social Scene. They will be in Brooklyn for one day and then back to their beloved Canada. If you haven't taken a listen, I strongly encourage it.

That is so crazy that you mention Broken Social Scene. They are on the new compliation that I made. You probably know this, but they are a Canadian supergroup with both Feist and the lead singer of Metric doing vocals. It is great stuff.
